Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support and enhance our diverse technology infrastructure to include managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting critical systems, including on-premises and cloud-based services.

Systems Management & Optimization

• Manage and optimize the performance, availability, and security of our critical systems.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to implement system improvements and upgrades.
• Provide tier-3 support and troubleshooting for escalated issues.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams and runbooks.

Expert Support & Mentorship

• Provide expert-level technical support and guidance to users and the leadership team.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure timely response to critical system issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business requirements.

Technical Expertise

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, IIS, and Remote Desktop Services.
• Proficiency with Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Proficiency in Asterisk-based PBX administration and optimization.
• Strong Cisco/Cisco Meraki and HP network expertise (firewalls, switches, wireless).
• Extensive experience with VMware ESXi and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with Apache web servers, Squid web proxy, and LTSP.
• Experience with SQL Server administration and optimization.
• Understanding of on-premises backup solutions and practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role.
• Proven experience in managing and optimizing diverse, business-critical systems.
• Microsoft 365 Engineer/Administrator certifications (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship abilities
