Our client located in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Technical Writer for a 6 month contract to hire position. We are looking for a Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation involving documenting as-is and to-be versions of on premise and cloud architectures and data flows, process and procedures, production change plans and training documentation. This involves engaging in conversations with engineers, developers, project managers, executives, security personnel to piece together undocumented thoughts and present them, iteratively, as discovery tools for establishing and maintain the appropriate level of systems documentation, procedures, policies, settings, training, and troubleshooting actions.

• Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent communication and writing skills (English)
• Established proficiency in Microsoft office. Strong preference for experience with Google Docs, Atlassian Confluence, and with Lucidchart.

• Combination of work experience, technical certifications, vocational or college writing training to establish appropriate skill in both technical context and ability to generate solid work product.
