We are proactively seeking a Network Engineer for future roles within our growing IT Staffing Division. At ESI, the IT Staffing & Recruitment Team partners with our Clients to uncover, facilitate, and fill their staffing needs. The ideal candidate for this position will have in-depth knowledge of networks with a focus on IP design and planning. In this role, the Network Engineer will be responsible for establishing and maintaining network performance by building various configurations and connections and troubleshooting network problems. This position will require 25% travel.

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain network infrastructure
• Determine network bandwidth needs and recommend measures to meet those requirements
• Conduct network modeling and analysis to construct a reliable, high-performance integrated network
• Direct system installation, implementation, and integration
• Select and install appropriate data communications components configured to meet the company’s needs in 3/5/10 year strategic planning
• Program routers, switches, and other network hardware
• Cabling, racking, stacking, and installing various hardware devices
• Maintain firewall and manage security related to intrusion preventions, identification, and remediation
• Define, document, and enforce networking standards
• Design, recommend and implement new solutions to improve the resiliency of network operations
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages
• Schedule updates and upgrades in maintenance windows pursuant to change control
• Secure network systems with policies that define and monitor access, including remote and intranet wired/wireless connections
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs from the ground to above the head

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in network administration, information technology, or computer science, experience can be substituted for this requirement
• Experience in BGP/RIP v2/EIGRP/OSPF routing protocols

Preferred Certifications

• Cisco CCNA/N/P/D
• Aruba ASCP/ACMP/ACSA
• Palo Alto PCNSE7 or similar
