Overview

Our client, a large public school system, is expanding their IT team. The Junior Network Administrator position is a full time, support contract position offering a full benefit package (to include health, dental, vision, & 401k).

Responsibilities

  • Access ticketing system to review and respond to network issues
  • Monitor network management system to verify availability of network devices
  • Provide remote configuration of routers and switches when necessary
  • Travel to Schools and Administrative Offices to resolve network issues – position  requires frequent access to school facilities to resolve network issues
  • Use Fluke network testers to verify network connections
  • Provide documentation of weekly tasks
  • Coordinate with contracted vendors to resolve network issues
  • Make firewall rule changes when necessary
  • Troubleshoot WAN circuit connectivity issues
  • Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, and wireless equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

  • CCNA certification preferred
  • Cisco router configuration experience (3 -5 years)
  • EIGRP routing protocol experience (1 – 3 years)
  • Cisco switch configuration experience (3 – 5 years)
  • Cisco firewall configuration experience (3 – 5 years)
  • Cisco wireless controller configuration experience (1 – 3 years)
  • Experience with network management software (1 – 3 years)
  • Experience with Cisco ACS configuration (1 – 3 years)
