Overview

Our client is seeking a Systems Administrator to join their growing company headquartered out of Virginia Beach, VA. Day to day duties will include maintaining and enhancing of current systems and user management (Active Directory, VMware, Remote Desktop Services, SCCM and SharePoint Services in a Microsoft Windows environment). The System Administrator will take an active role in optimizing and implementing enterprise wide solutions and escalations from other team members. Analyzes and resolves end user application and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. 

Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience with Virtualization(VMWare) 
  • Administer Active Directory domains
  • Administer Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems.
  • Administer server roles and services, printer systems, software and security configurations.
  • Administer various computer hardware platforms (HP, Apple, Lenovo, Dell).
  • Administer NAS and SAN (VNX, Synology, Buffalo).
  • Administer LAN infrastructure (HP, NetGear, Cisco, Extreme).
  • Anti-virus and backup solutions.
  • Administer communication platforms. (Office365, Vonage, BYOD)
  • Administer Kaseya RMM (Security, Deployments, Client Management, Asset Inventory).

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • MCSA, Network+ and/or Server+ certification or equivalent training/experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in a multi-server network environment demonstrating a strong working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have high integrity to deal with confidential information
  • High attention to detail and organized
  • Ability to prioritize and be proactive
  • Strong problem solving abilities and the ability to effectively contribute to a team environment.
  • Able to collaborate effectively by phone and email with others within the organization.
  • Able to travel to other company facilities (10-20% annually, depending on need)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Ability to effectively mentor less-experienced personnel.

Training Requirements:

  • Desire to continuously learn and apply learning to job and company success
  • Willing to attend required training courses or sessions related to the job

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive office functions
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment
  • Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures
